SWERC (Southwestern  Europe Regional Contest) 2025 at INSA Lyon! 

  • The weekend of November 21 - 23, the Computer Science Department of INSA Lyon will host the prestigious Southwestern Europe Regional Contest (SWERC) for the 2nd year.

  • SWERC is a programming contest focused on algorithmic problem solving and practicat coding. It is fought between teams, each of which represents an institution from the region, i.e., a university, an engineering school, etc. Institutions choose the teams that they wish to send to SWERC.

  • There are 137 teams from 62 institutions: Lisbone (42 teams), Pisa (42 teams) and Lyon (52 teams including 2 from INSA LYON).

  • Each team comprises three students from the institution. The teams of each institution are accompanied by a coach, who serves as the person of contact for the institution. The coach is the person who registers the teams, and usually organises their travel, hosting, etc.
