SWERC 2024 at INSA Lyon: A Celebration of Algorithmic Excellence!

• The weekend of November 29 - December 1, the Computer Science Department of INSA Lyon hosted the prestigious Southwestern Europe Regional Contest (SWERC) 2024 (https://swerc.eu/2024/).
   
• The competition, co-organized by INSA Lyon, ENS Lyon, École Centrale Lyon, Epitech Lyon, and Sorbonne University (Paris), brought together the brightest minds in algorithmic problem-solving.

Key highlights:

• Three locations: Lyon, Lisbon, and Pisa
• 141 teams (3 students each) from 65 institutions
• Participants from France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, and Israel
• 13 challenging problems solved in just 5 hours on a single computer

SWERC is more than just a competition – it’s a celebration of the passion and dedication of students who share a love for algorithms and problem-solving. These skills are vital in tackling the challenges of AI and emerging technologies.
